F1 | Alpine, Ocon satisfied: “One of the best days for us”

Esteban Ocon is very satisfied after the first day of free practice in Turkey. In Istanbul the Frenchman placed eighth, but his feelings are really positive, and he believes that Alpine can achieve excellent results in the next two days. The former Racing Point driver particularly loves Istanbul Park and praises the work done in recent months to finally give Formula 1 a track with the right grip after last year's disaster by the organisers.

“It was a very good Friday for us, probably one of the best this year – Ocon admitted. We arrived here not knowing what the track conditions would be, but it has improved a lot compared to last year, the grip is very good, perhaps one of the tracks with the most grip in this world championship. It's fantastic to lap here, in FP1 we went very well, I was in the top 5, then we confirmed ourselves in the top ten in the afternoon session. What we learned today we can implement tomorrow, so I can't wait to get back on track."
