F1 | AlphaTauri with three drivers in the post-season tests in Abu Dhabi

F1 Abu Dhabi Test – AlphaTauri will bring three drivers to the track in the end-of-season tests, scheduled for the Yas Marina Circuit on the Tuesday following the last round of the Formula 1 season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Ayumu Iwasa – Red Bull Junior and Honda Formula Dream Project driver – will get behind the wheel of one of our AT04s for the entire day of testing, while Daniel Ricciardo will be in the second car first, who will drive in the morning, and then pass the baton to Yuki Tsunoda for the last afternoon of track testing this year.

The 22-year-old Iwasa, originally from Osaka (Japan), is currently third in the Formula 2 championship, having won three times this season, with the two races remaining this weekend in Abu Dhabi. Last year, in fact, he won the Feature Race at Yas Marina and placed fifth in the championship.

For the 2024 season, Ayumu will return to Japan to compete in the prestigious Super Formula series. It will be his first season back home since 2019. Since 2020 he has raced in Europe, winning the French F4 title and finishing 12th in Formula 3 the following year.
