The Spaniard addresses the fans: "The fans in the last five or six years have seen some horrible cars"
Fernando Alonso he asked sorry to all Formula 1 fans for the '“horrible” appearance of the cars of recent years, with the hope that they can “forget what they saw” now that the cars for the 2017 season have made a notable leap forward and look better.
The new rules introduced for 2017 they meant that the F1 teams worked on a project that was not only very advanced and more complex from a technical point of view but also dynamic from an aesthetic perspective, creating more spectacular cars. The new cars and new designs also appeal to an expert driver like Alonso who has seen many different colors and shapes in Formula 1: “The only conclusion is that the cars look nice”, said Alonso. “The cars are definitely quicker through the corners, so it's nice to get back to that feeling of downforce in the corners, and be able to push the car to the limit a bit more. So I'm happy with that. I'm happy for the sport, I think it's going in the right direction.", has continued.
The Spaniard then continued to praise the beauty of new cars: “I apologize to the fans who have seen some horrible cars in the last five or six years”he concluded.
