F1 | Alonso is sure: "Silverstone won't be Sainz's only victory of the season"

Last Sunday, with the success achieved on the historic Silverstone track, Carlos Sainz put an end to his lack of career victories. A triumph which, in the opinion of the Ferrari standard bearer's compatriot and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, will not even be the last during this season.

For the Asturian, in fact, Sainz, together with his teammate Charles Leclerc and the two Red Bull drivers, are the only ones who can aspire to the top step of the podium given the competitiveness of the vehicles available, superior to the rest of the grid.

"It's always important to win the first race, especially when you drive for Ferrari, because there are so many expectations – declared Alonso, quoted by SoyMotor – I don't think he will change much, to be honest it was a matter of time, because he has one of the two best cars at his disposal and only Max, Sergio, Leclerc and Carlos can win a race at the moment. It won't be the last this year".
