F1 | Alfa Romeo, Vasseur on the future of Giovinazzi and Raikkonen: "We'll see each other again between September and October"

In a chat given to Auto Motor und Sport, Alfa Romeo team principal Frederic Vasseur discussed the competitiveness shown so far on the track by the Biscione single-seater and future market moves linked to the drivers. In fact, the French manager admitted that the positions of Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Raikkonen will only be discussed in the second half of the season.

"Antonio improved a lot in qualifying – declared Vasseur – We have made a big step forward on the engine side, we have developed our aerodynamic package very well and interpreted the new rules correctly. But Antonio has also clearly improved compared to the last two years. Ferrari and Alfa Romeo are our partners. We will then discuss the matter with them. But it's too early for that. It is much more important that our pilots concentrate on their work. We'll see you again in September or October".
