F1 | Alesi: “This result is a demonstration of Ferrari's strength”

After pole position and third place in Saturday's qualifying, Ferrari underlined its supremacy in yesterday's race too by obtaining a Leclerc-Sainz one-two in the inaugural round of the 2022 World Championship which took place in Bahrain. A result that underlines the competitiveness of the new F1-75 as Jean Alesi admitted.

The Frenchman, a Cavallino driver in the first half of the 90s, reiterated the excellent work done by Maranello which currently puts the Rossa in a clear position of advantage over the competition.

"I have no more doubts – declared Alesi, interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport – I've already heard about Red Bull wanting updates and Mercedes having the wrong car. This result is proof of Ferrari's strength. It wasn't because of a yellow flag or an accident, they all went full throttle and were in front. Can Mercedes challenge for the title?
