Blown exhausts and diffusers: there is no agreement between the teams to abolish the ban
di Staff10 July 2011
Uncertainty continues over the rules on exhausts and blown diffusers after no agreement was reached at this morning's meeting of the Technical Working Group at Silverstone.
After the controversy that erupted after the ban on the British GP came into force and the various exemptions granted by the Federation, the FIA had proposed to the teams to unanimously approve the abolition of the ban and return to the pre-Silverstone situation.
But at this morning's meeting it was not possible to reach an agreement. According to rumors, Ferrari and Sauber have refused to sign an agreement to return to the Valencia specifications.
Williams was also said to be in favor of lifting the ban.
