Double race hypothesis: Hamilton in favor, Vettel against

The idea of Strategy Group to include a shorter GP to be held on Saturday afternoon, reserved for young drivers or starters with the aim of establishing the starting grid, was one of the most "talked about" topics in the paddock, given the notable degree of novelty of the idea.

The pilots seemed quite divided on this point. Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel rejected the idea, declaring themselves faithful to the traditional format of the race weekend: “A GP must remain as such, it cannot be doubled, not even if it is just a qualifying race. I think we have many other problems to solve, rather than thinking about a race on Saturday!".

The compatriot Nico Rosberg does not completely close the door, but would prefer to respect tradition: “In DTM they changed the format and the fans liked it. We also have to make the spectators happy, but I wouldn't want to see the traditions of F1 upset. In tennis there are four Grand Slam tournaments, I think fans would be annoyed if they suddenly became seven..."

Instead, he is in favor of a change to the Lewis Hamilton race programme. The reigning world champion once again demonstrates that he knows how to "ride the wave", proving himself less anchored to current customs than his two illustrious colleagues: “I would be in favor of making all those changes that could make the challenge more exciting. I've been here for nine years now and it's always the same thing, I don't know how much longer we can go on like this. Something must be done, and as a rider I am ready to give my contribution".

Hamilton a non-conformist character and star of this F1, loves to push the group, both on and off the track. Another old fox from the Circus, however, does not give importance to this rumor: “I don't even want to comment on something that will never happen” so hyper realistic Jenson Button.
