BMW Sauber: Kubica ahead of Heidfeld when testing resumes

Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld drove the two BMW-Sauber F1.08s during the first of three days of testing underway in Jerez. With perfect weather conditions, the two drivers completed 91 and 94 laps respectively, completing the planned programme, which included various set-up activities and systems checks.

However, the aerodynamic work was disturbed in the afternoon by strong winds, so in addition the team also worked on several starting tests. As for the times, with 1:19.539s Kubica ended the day in third place, while Heidfeld clocked 1:19.958s, which earned him sixth place of the day. Work will now continue on improving the F1.08's set-up, with attention to aerodynamic solutions and braking systems.
