Allison talks about her future: “I want to bring Ferrari back to success”
"I want to stay here until I finish my work"
In an interview given to the Autosprint columns, James Allison, technical director and point of reference within the Scuderia Ferrari, denied the latest rumors regarding his possible future away from the "Red". Upon direct question from Roberto Chinchero, Maurizio Arrivabene's current right-hand man specified that his future in Maranello is absolutely not in question and that the entire team's objective is to reduce the gap from Mercedes and bring back the Williams behind Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. We remind you that the former Lotus Technical Director has not yet signed the extension of his contract beyond the current deadline set for the 2016 season.
Here are the words of James Allison: “First of all, I have a contract that binds me to this company for several more years and then I came to this company to repeat the experience of winning with this team, because it is a unique sensation in the world. I experienced the Ferrari victory as a young engineer, and it was a crazy experience, given that we won five world championships. And the prospect of being able to relive those moments in the role I occupy today is something I would really like to be able to do, a matter of the heart. I want to stay here until I finish my job and if Ferrari wants the same I will be very happy."
