A new Sponsor for Lotus

The cars of Trulli and Kovalainen could have a new sponsor starting from the next Silverstone race, this is the airline Air Asia owned by team boss Tony Fernandes.

The news comes directly from Malaysia and should be made official over the weekend. Until now Fernandes had advertised the logo of his financial company Tune Group on the T127s but had not been able to do the same with Air Asia due to an existing sponsorship contract with Williams.

In the meantime, Fernandes takes a step back regarding the negotiations on the supply of next year's engines, declaring himself quite satisfied with the competitiveness of the Cosworths and also foreseeing the possibility of continuing the partnership. Lotus has been thinking of switching to Renault V8s for some time but it seems that Ferrari has also made a supply proposal.
