A difficult qualification for both Virgin drivers in India

A difficult weekend for Virgin, which had great difficulties in qualifying for the Indian Grand Prix.

Timo Glock, 24th: “It was a very disappointing qualifying for us. We had a very good Friday, but today we were very unlucky, as the fifth gear broke during qualifying and I could only do one fast lap. the first attempt was already good in itself – the car ran fine and I had no problems. We won't start from where we wanted to start, but we are fast enough to beat the HRTs and we have saved some soft tyres. Let's see what we can do tomorrow. Clearly, it's a shame for me and the boys, but that's how races go."

Jerome D'Ambrosio, 23rd: “It wasn't a great qualifying and it was a difficult weekend. It seems that the car changes from one session to the next, which makes everything more difficult for us, because it is a new circuit and we have to follow the evolution of the track. It's disappointing to be behind HRT and given our problems they are quite close this weekend. It's a great track and I think there will be some good challenges, I hope we can improve for tomorrow. We saved a set of soft tyres, it should help us."
