Williams tests high exhausts in the Abu Dhabi tests
di StaffNovember 15, 2011
Williams is the first team to test the new high exhausts required by regulation since 2012. The Grove team is testing the new solution in the tests for young drivers taking place in Abu Dhabi.
Valteri Bottas has been running with the new exhausts since this morning for development tests with a view to 2012. Mark Gillian confirmed during the Abu Dhabi GP weekend that the team will test various components for next year in this test session.
The FIA has decided to mandate high exhausts as part of a series of rules aimed at outlawing blown diffusers.
