Williams: A good start to the weekend in Spain

Maldonado, Senna and Bottas satisfied with the work done in free practice

Williams drivers satisfied after the two free practice sessions on the Barcelona circuit for the Spanish Grand Prix. Maldonado, Senna and Bottas collected a lot of useful data for the rest of the weekend.

Pastor Maldonado – 13: We completed our program today and the tires worked well this afternoon. It helps that we've done quite a bit of testing here, but the track conditions are very different throughout the winter so now we need to spend some time analyzing the data. I feel confident also because this is a circuit that I like.

Bruno Senna – 18: It was a good session this afternoon and we completed many laps. The time has come to sit down and look at the data to improve the car's long-distance set-up, as well as for tomorrow's qualifying.

Valtteri Bottas – 5: This was the first circuit of the season that I know so it was good for me to be able to focus solely on driving from the start. The car went well but there are still some things that need to be worked on. Overall, we collected a lot of data and I had a productive session.
