The first solutions of this type were already seen in the tests for young drivers in Abu Dhabi this week, tested by Williams, Mercedes and Ferrari.

According to Auto Motor und Sport of the many drivers who have raced perhaps only Charles Pic and Jean-Eric Vergne will have a seat next season. The Frenchman attracted the attention of the experts by consistently achieving the best time with Red Bull.

Vergne's times were no disfigured compared to those of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber but Ferrari's Jules Bianchi made it clear that he had doubts about the type of tires used by the world champion team.

Vergne is, together with the other promising Red Bull, Daniel Ricciardo, one of the candidates for a seat at Toro Rosso or at least at HRT.

Bad news for Sebastien Buemi who has scored fewer points than Jaime Alguersuari this year and in Brazil he will have to give way to Vergne in free practice on Friday morning.
