Vettel: “I think this has been a great season”

Hag – I believe that this has been a great season and that we can be extremely happy if we look at the progress made compared to last year. We managed to improve the car significantly, but not enough. We are not the favorites yet and our goal is to take a bigger step. We certainly need to improve our car on the engine side too, not only in terms of horsepower, but also as a Power Unit overall. Obviously I don't know what's happening in the other teams, but I know what's happening in Maranello and it seems very promising. The worst moment of the season was when I crashed into the barriers in Mexico, the best in Malaysia: two weeks earlier I had run my first race with Ferrari and my first victory came there, it was fantastic...
I've always liked the Abu circuit from the beginning, it's a nice place and even though it hasn't been raced here many times, it already looks like a classic on the calendar. I think everything is done here to make us feel comfortable. It's kind of like Disneyland, in terms of facilities it couldn't be better. I think the track is fantastic, there are different types of corners, unfortunately not many high speed corners, but otherwise there is everything you need and racing at night is always something special. Compared to the first year, when we ran with more downforce, it's a bit more fun. Especially in the last sector you have to make sure you find the rhythm otherwise you can lose time at any moment.
