Domenicali returns to the Valencia case

The Ferrari team principal returns to talk about the Valencia race and inevitably the controversial episodes that influenced the outcome of the grand prix.

Domenicali defended the behavior of Alonso who accused the stewards of having manipulated the outcome of the race while Ferrari on its official website recalls the fans' voices regarding Hamilton's overtaking in the safety car.

Alonso: “The public's attitude is understandable. They were disgusted by the injustices that were happening.” The Valencia public did not take kindly to this and protested in a sporting manner by repeatedly booing the McLaren driver while someone else, who evidently had little to do with this sport, struck by an immediate stroke of genius, thought well to resolve the situation by throwing a glass bottle onto the track.

At the end of the race Domenicali apologized for Alonso's frank attitude, speaking of "immediate declarations", then added: "Fernando is certainly the man who paid the most for the whole situation".

The issue will certainly be discussed by the federation and for Silverstone there will be updates regarding the rules on the safety car but not everyone has the same vision of the facts, in Italy and Spain the newspapers are crying scandal, talking about deception and hoping for an end to preferential treatment in Hamilton. In England, however, they defend their driver, the Daily Mail for example brands the Ferrari controversy as arrogant and desperate, suggesting that they focus on the role of world championship player rather than that of referee.
