Schumacher didn't ask Ferrari to leave

While rumors linking Michael Schumacher to Mercedes GP persist, there are still many unanswered questions. Mercedes bosses Nick Fry and Norbert Haug refused to completely rule out a possible deal with the German, thus intensifying speculation, and Schumacher's manager, Willi Weber, added even more fuel to the fire.

However, Mercedes team manager Ross Brawn has already dismissed the possibility of the seven-time world champion racing in 2010 a couple of times and now new sources say there are no moves underway to pave the way for a contract. .

The Times newspaper assures that the former driver has a three-year contract as a consultant at Ferrari and the team "has not received any type of indication from him regarding his possible move to his rivals."

Furthermore, the Times adds that the forty-year-old “is not in contact with Stefano Domenicali to discuss his future.

“Some sources have stated that the team would not object if Schumacher decided to race with Mercedes. However, this is a prospect considered very unlikely,” says the British newspaper.
