Sauber forced to skip Silverstone tests
Costs and lack of updates are the causes of the flat rate
These are really tough times for Clean.
Having skipped last year's Barcelona tests due to the lack of anything new to test, the Hinwil team will be forced, for the same reason, to also withdraw from the Silverstone tests scheduled for 12 to 13 July.
“Considering the costs and having introduced the new aerodynamic package on the C35 late, we decided not to participate” – the team tweeted on the official page.
Since the start of the season, the team founded in 1993 has been suffering from major financial concerns, so much so that for several races now the main sponsors of the driver Marcus Ericsson have been activated to guarantee his presence in the races.
