Sauber: Aerodynamic tests in free practice at Suzuka

Testing of new aerodynamic components for Sauber drivers in free practice for the Japanese Grand Prix.

Kamui Kobayashi – Pos 12:
“I'm very happy to be in Suzuka, and I really enjoy driving here. However, it was a tough day for me. I'm not happy with the balance because I have too much understeer. We have definitely improved by making changes to the set-up. In the morning I also evaluated some new aerodynamic parts.”

Nick Heidfeld – Pos 15:
“I really enjoy driving on the Suzuka circuit. I found the car not bad with the harder compound but then it was a surprise when we fitted the softer option tyres. The car behaved differently and the lap time did not improve. This is something we need to improve before qualifying. In the first session I also performed a comparison with different front wings.”
