Renault has communicated to suppliers its possible withdrawal from F1

Renault has warned its suppliers that it may not race in Formula One next year. At the same time as the news surfaced, the CEO of the French manufacturer Carlos Ghosn argued not about the controversial budget ceiling, but against the distribution of revenues.
According to the French news agency AFP, Ghosn told a French parliamentary committee that because the teams "show the show" in F1, they should be "the main" beneficiaries.

Until then, while category governance issues played a central role in the battle against Mosley, it was always believed that the threats to leave F1 were based above all on the new regulations.

But Ghosn said: “We are the ones who put on the show, who bring the technology, the engines, who hire the pilots, so we are the ones who do everything and it is necessary that the revenue comes back to us.”

Meanwhile, German website motorsport-total.com revealed that Renault's external suppliers received a letter earlier in the week warning that the team's participation after 2009 could not be guaranteed.
