Liuzzi expects to remain in Force India

Some of the movements in the 2011 driver market are concentrated around Force India. The team has not yet confirmed its driver line-up, with the exception of an announcement made months ago, which expressed its intention to promote test driver Paul di Resta to the starting position but, for the moment, nothing is certain yet.

Sutil, whose contract is expiring, is in negotiations with Renault, Mallya would like to keep him, the German is aiming for a more competitive team but everything will depend on Renault's decisions regarding Petrov. Liuzzi theoretically has a contract but his performances have been disappointing which does not indicate the possibility of a reconfirmation. The Hulkenberg hypothesis also comes up but the manager, Willy Weber, was hoping more for a role as a test driver in a big team.

However, Vitantonio feels safe and believes he can remain in the Indian team also for 2011: “I am quite confident that I can remain in Force India next year too, the team has given me the signal that everything will remain as it is and then I also have a contract. Formula One is certainly a particular environment and nothing is certain until the last minute, but as soon as possible I will have certainties on the matter. I have a good relationship with Mallya and he has always been honest towards me, I don't feel like he wants to change things."
