Lauda: “Hamilton is exaggerating. If he doesn't score points, he doesn't win the World Cup."

Niki Lauda explained to Lewis Hamilton the basics with which you win a world title, starting from completing races and it's something he can learn from his teammate Jenson Button.

Hamilton had another somewhat complicated race in Belgium, retiring due to an accident with Kamui Kobayashi. This collision cost him many points, causing him to slip to fifth place in the Drivers' Rankings.

Button, on the contrary, ran an excellent race in the Belgian Grand Prix, from thirteenth to finishing on the podium.

“Lewis could learn from Button,” he told the Sunday Express. “Lewis is very strong in qualifying and is the fastest driver, but in Belgium it was Jenson who finished third.”

“You don't win championships by crashing, look at Sebastian Vettel, he doesn't make mistakes and that's why he's winning the title again this year. You can argue that he has the fastest car, but look at Lewis and Jenson."

“Button is in front because he is taking the car to the finish line and getting points. It's very frustrating for Lewis also because he is one of the three best drivers in F1. There is no doubt about it."

“He's exaggerating, though. If you don't score points, you don't win the world championships” concluded Lauda.

Sir too Jackie stewart he agrees with the Austrian: “I admit that Lewis is very aggressive, but he has had too many accidents this year. If he continues like this, all this will affect his results. He needs to get out of this quickly."
