Hulkenberg: “Proud of the Le Mans success”

The most photographed and interviewed man of the first day at the Red Bull Ring was Nico Hulkenberg.

Still full of adrenaline from the feat accomplished last weekend together with Nick Tandy and Earl Bamber at the wheel of the Porsche 919 Hybird, the fresh winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans recounted his emotions in the classic press conference on Thursday.

“I feel an incredible feeling – his words – It's been a long and intense week. From Montreal I flew to Paris and then from there to the Sarthe circuit. Winning on the first try wasn't easy. I feel proud of myself and the team for what they have been able to achieve."

Speaking instead of the commitment that awaits him in a few hours with the Force India the German stated: “In the last five races we have scored four times. Growth is constant, but for a further step we will have to wait for Silverstone when we will be able to enjoy important updates. I am convinced that the second part of the season will be better."
