Hamilton: “A lot of work to do”

Lewis Hamilton has admitted he will have to improve his car's balance a lot at the British GP if he is to hope to beat his teammate, Nico Rosberg. Today the German dominated on Friday despite a hydraulic problem in the morning. Hamilton was almost a second behind his teammate in Free Practice 2.

“I hope to improve a lot,” said Hamilton. “It wasn't the easiest day, but overall it went well. The pace on long runs wasn't great. We have some work to do on the set-up. I have to sit down and work: we need to improve the overall balance of the car."

Even Rosberg didn't say he was completely satisfied, despite the best time in both sessions: “No, I'm not happy. The car was still unstable. I think it depended on the difficult track conditions, today it was much warmer than the temperatures expected for Sunday. So we have to be careful. The good balance for today may not be so good for Sunday so it's difficult to predict. But I think we learned a lot of things today."
