Arrivabene: “For the next races we won't stand by and watch”

Maurice Arrivabene: “Congratulations to Seb who was able to resist the assault of Hamilton's Mercedes at the end, which was on Supersoft tyres, while his Softs had lost pressure due to the safety car being too slow. It wasn't easy... At the key moment of the race, our strategist, Iñaki Rueda, told everyone to stay calm and stay on the track, without changing strategy, while Hamilton went in to change the tyres. I recognize that we were lucky, our opponents are certainly strong and intelligent, but we were smart. As for Kimi, his problem is qualifying, because in the race he always knows how to go fast. When he was overtaken by Ricciardo, I also wanted to get to the bottom of the matter, but I saw that the rule has changed compared to a few years ago. The moment a driver widens the trajectory and the other already has a wheel inside, the maneuver is permitted, and therefore we accept the stewards' decision. For the next races we won't stand by and watch, we have other developments in mind, but if lucky breaks happen it's right to take advantage of them. So far we have always finished on the podium and the gap to our rivals is not too great. Maybe on some tracks we will still have the same problems as Barcelona, ​​but on others we will be stronger."
