Ferrari has identified the reasons for the DRS failure

After careful analysis the Ferrari found the cause of the DRS flap failure which compromised the race Fernando Alonso in Bahrain, forcing him to fight in the middle of the group, rather than at the front where he could easily have remained.
“The problem arose from the breakage of a mechanical component within the system – we read in an official press release – This is the first case encountered on this device over the three years in which it was used, consequently no where to worry, but equally the attention on reliability must always remain high".
