Ferrari and Montezemolo: a long love story

Ferrari – “It's not easy,” he began Montezemolo visibly moved and interrupted several times by long applause at the greeting he gave to the employees of the Ferrari Industrial Management last night.
In recent days, the women and men of Ferrari had repeatedly asked to see him for a greeting and a hug before his exit after 23 years in Maranello. Not being able to do it personally with each of them, Montezemolo wanted to meet them after he had previously already spoken to the Gestion Sportiva before the team's departure for the Japanese and Russian Grands Prix.
Thus, in front of two thousand people gathered in the tensile structure inside the factory, after two brief introductory speeches by the vice-president Piero Ferrari and the managing director Amedeo Felisa, and at the end of a video which, with Gino Paoli's song "A long history of amore” as the soundtrack, he retraced his 23 years of successes, he took to the stage.
In his speech, the President repeatedly reiterated the importance of Maranello's workers: “You are the strength of this company, which is the most beautiful in the world. You are the true architects of his triumphs. You are Ferrari." He recalled the successes in Formula 1, where Ferrari remains the most successful team, and of the Prancing Horse's GT cars in the world. He said he was "proud to have lived these wonderful years with you" and certain that "the future of Ferrari, which it doesn't produce cars but dreams, it will remain bright because all of you are here." Then he had an affectionate and moving thought for Michael Schumacher and for Jules Bianchi, the young Marussia driver who grew up in the FDA and is fighting for his life after the dramatic accident at Suzuka.
After Montezemolo's speech, representatives of the women and men of the factory took to the stage for a symbolic embrace and upon exiting the President was overwhelmed by people who wanted to shake his hand, take a "selfie" with him, show him their affection and esteem for this "long love story".
