Ferrari: Montezemolo speaks at Stanford and meets the leaders of Apple and Google

"I'm not here to sell cars but to communicate a dream"

The Prancing Horse also conquers the "Silicon Valley", the area south of San Francisco where in the space of a few years the largest information technology companies, such as Apple and Google, were born and have become international realities and where it has home to one of the most prestigious universities in the world, Stanford. But even in this world, focused on digital technologies and content, there was great enthusiasm for Maranello's cars, the result of cutting-edge technology combined with the passion of those who create them.

In the United States, Ferrari's first market, Luca di Montezemolo met Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, the top management of Google and spoke to over 600 students at Stanford University. "I'm not here to sell cars but to communicate a dream", he began amid applause from the students in his speech as part of the 'View from the top' conference cycle. The President of Ferrari urged young people to follow their passions: "Be creative, follow your goals, use technologies, master innovation, but never depend on cars, be drivers of your life, never get lost along the way curiosity about what surrounds you." “Intelligence and innovative ideas can contribute to changing the world and designing the future”, he concluded, but without ever forgetting “the passion and care for the smallest details that distinguishes our cars, those who design them but also those who drive them, experiencing continuous emotions”.

Passion was also the underlying theme of the very cordial meeting with Tim Cook: "I was impressed by the great availability, by the absolute lack of pomp", he commented leaving the Copertino headquarters after more than two hours of face to face : "We make cars, they make computers but Apple and Ferrari are linked by the same passion, by the same love for the product, by the obsessive attention to technology but also to design." Tim Cook then wanted to see the FF up close with which Montezemolo arrived in Cupertino, admiring the line and interior of the four-door, four-wheel drive Prancing Horse, getting excited at the sound of the 12-cylinder. Sensations that Ferraris have always brought to life all over the world, including in Silicon Valley.
