F1 Test | Report at 15pm: Verstappen pulls ahead of Norris and Sainz
The Dutchman has just overtaken the McLaren driver in the standings
Flash of Lando Norris during the first day of testing in Bahrain. When there are two hours left until the checkered flag, the driver of the McLaren, got into the car in the afternoon taking over Oscar Piastri which he shot in the morning, stopped the chronometer in 1:32.484 (19 laps completed) with the C3 tyres, the yellow compound for these days of testing, but it will be the softest and therefore red one on the race weekend. However, it is not enough to put behind Max Verstappen: while the article was going to be published, the three-time world champion printed a 1:31.662 (97 laps), giving eight tenths of a second to his British friend. Continued Carlos Sainz (36 laps), who has already done better than Leclerc (64 laps) on the Ferrari, but in cooler conditions, remembering that it is currently 17pm in Bahrain. A good fifth Ricciardo (16 laps) followed by Alonso, Piastri, Zhou, Russell e tsunoda to close the top ten.
