F1 | The return of active suspensions from 2018 is probable

Almost all Formula 1 teams would support the return of active suspensions to Formula 1 to put an end to the controversy over the current systems.

Active suspension has been banned in F1 since 1994 but the systems currently used were the subject of heated controversy during a recent meeting between the FIA ​​and the teams' technical directors.

Ferrari has written to the FIA ​​asking for clarification on the new suspensions designed by Mercedes and Red Bull which change the ride height and produce much more downforce when cornering thanks to the use of a third suspension element.

But McLaren has said it is in favor of the return of active suspension and the debate will now continue through the start of the 2017 season with a view to a possible return in 2018.
