F1 | Ticket sales for the Russian Grand Prix suspended

The first steps of war taken by Russia against Ukraine are bringing inevitable consequences with global impact. It seems almost out of place to talk about certain things if we think about what the people directly affected by what were previously tensions are experiencing, now, unfortunately, we have moved on to a subsequent step. There were rumors in recent days of a possible change in the venue of the Champions League final, scheduled for St. Petersburg on May 28th, now it seems inevitable. As regards Formula 1, on the official website of the Circus, in the "Tickets" section, there is no possibility of pre-ordering or purchasing tickets for the Russian Grand Prix, scheduled for the weekend of 23-25 ​​September in Sochi.

In the last few hours we have even been thinking about a replacement venue, and it seems that Turkey is available to organize the Grand Prix in Istanbul. It is clear that at the moment we are only at the dawn of an action that we hope can be completed in the shortest possible time and without more serious consequences than they already are. We will obviously continue to update you on how Formula 1 will deal with this latest surreal situation which is upsetting the whole world.

Formula 1 released a very short statement regarding what is happening in Russia and Ukraine: “Formula 1 is following developments closely, like everyone else, and at this time has no further comment to make on the race scheduled for September. We will continue to monitor the situation closely."
