F1 | Williams, Russell: “Singapore will be a new experience for me”
Kubica: "The heat will be a challenge"
Formula 1 stops in Singapore for the first overseas Grand Prix of the second part of the season. Even Williams, like the other teams, is preparing for this first long trip following the European tour, despite the great difficulties faced by Grove's team during this world championship. The Marina Bay circuit will be challenging for the FW42, perhaps more so than the rest of the championship tracks, as well as obviously for the drivers, ready to challenge the heat of the Asian city-state.
“Singapore is a very complicated circuit, being a typical citizen – Kubica said. The hot and humid climate presents a challenge and the track demands a lot from driver and car. There is a great atmosphere here, and it will be a unique Grand Prix as we will be racing at night."
“I can't wait for Singapore – Russell said. First of all because it's fantastic, and secondly because it will be a new experience for me, I like driving on new tracks. Racing at night will be an interesting experience and I am ready to face the challenge of heat and humidity.”
