F1 | Vietnam close to entering the calendar from 2020

In recent months there has been talk of a possible entry into the calendar of a Grand Prix in Miami and one in Vietnam. If everything seems to have definitively stalled as regards the US stage, negotiations are at an advanced stage for the arrival of Formula 1 in the South-East Asian country, so much so that an entry into the calendar is hypothesized as early as 2020. The Vietnamese stage should definitively take the place of the Malaysian Grand Prix, unfortunately out of Formula 1 this year and should take place in September before or after Singapore. The announcement should come by the end of November. Charlie Whiting spoke about this imminent new entry.

“There is no further progress in the construction of the runway – Charlie said – but the location has already been identified. The design of the circuit is at an advanced stage, and as far as I know they are pushing to have a Grand Prix in 2020. It will be a mainly city track, but there will also be a part that hasn't been built yet. A part of the track will therefore be built at that point, which will subsequently become a road."
