Campos denies his team's difficulties for 2010

Adrian Campos has denied rumors about his Campos-Meta team's difficulties in preparing for their Formula 1 debut in 2010.

Joan Villadelprat, rejected by the FIA with his Epsilon-Euskadi team, hinted this week that of the three new F1 teams - USF1, Manor and Campos, the Spaniard's was the least prepared for next season.

“They are wrong,” Campos told El Pais. The former Minardi driver stated that he is currently purchasing trucks and motorhomes as well as selecting staff and completing the Valencia headquarters. Furthermore, Dallara would be in line with the development of the car, which should be ready to hit the track on January 10th.

"There is no reason to doubt us. We will be in F1," Campos said, revealing an annual budget of between 45 and 50 million euros.

On the driver front, Campos declared that he is negotiating with Pedro de la Rosa and Marc Gene because the Campos Grand Prix needs "an experienced driver" to support a "promising young man".

For the second seat, El Pais hypothesizes Vitaly Petrov, Bruno Senna, Sergio Perez and Karun Chandhok among the candidates.
