GP Brazil, Sauber: Kobayashi tenth at Interlagos

The Sauber team wins a championship point in the Brazilian Grand Prix with Kobayashi's tenth place. Only 17th Heidfeld.

Kamui Kobayashi – Pos 10:
“My result isn't great but maybe one point is good for today. For me the start was okay, but at the beginning of my long stint on the hard tires I suffered from a lack of grip and lost positions. Then, when the first tires were worn out, I had a lot of understeer. When I was on fresh tires I was able to overtake both Toro Rossos, but overtaking wasn't easy this time. You had to have good straight line speed to overtake the first corner and I didn't have any.”

Nick Heidfeld – Pos 17:
“Finishing 17th is certainly disappointing. The race actually started quite well, I managed to overtake a few cars on the outside on the first lap. So I was in that group of cars behind Adrian Sutil, but in reality I didn't have the speed on the straight to overtake yet. I was out of the points, when the safety car came out the team decided to take a bit of a risk by calling me back to fit fresh tyres. However, with the drive-through the race was over anyway. The penalty was absolutely justified. I just didn't know that Nico (Rosberg) could pass. I had blue flags already when there were a couple of cars between us and when he came up behind me I couldn't understand if they were for him. I had a lack of information, maybe because the team didn't have the right information. I apologized to Nico immediately after the race.”
