Like Nick Heidfeld in the first two days, Robert Kubica yesterday tested different set-up solutions not only for the German GP but also for the future. The Pole didn't focus on the lap time and completed 490 km collecting important data on the two tire compounds (medium and hard) chosen for the German GP. In perfect weather conditions Kubica also took advantage of the opportunity to carry out test starts on the start/finish straight. In addition, the team performed several pitstop tests. The BMW Sauber F1.08 ran without problems throughout the day, bringing the total mileage of the Hockenheim tests to 1286 km.
