Alonso rejects rumors of sabotage in Hamilton

Fernando Alonso has denied the latest revelations about his stormy relationship with Lewis Hamilton when they both drove for McLaren in 2007.

Tom Bower, author of the biography of Bernie Ecclestone, writes that the Spaniard would have asked then manager Ron Dennis to sabotage Hamilton's car, so that the Englishman would run out of petrol.

Furthermore, Bower claims that Alonso would have tried to blackmail Dennis, asking him to be treated like number one in exchange for silence on the emails at the center of attention for the scandal called "Spygate".

“I don't know what they say in other countries,” Alonso said in Madrid. To a more specific question on the topic, Fernando replied: “I don't know. Everyone is trying to get their work done.”
