Allison and Raikkonen, Ferrari announcement already in Monza?
Arrivabene ready to give continuity to the project
Ferrari could announce the renewals of Kimi Raikkonen and James Allison already during the Italian Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2015 Formula One world championship.
The Scuderia del Cavallino has in fact chosen to give continuity to the project started last winter, aiming for the total confirmation of the group which is doing so well during this championship. The Finn's excellent race in Budapest swept away all the perplexities of the Arrivabene-Marchionne duo and in order not to ruin the harmony of the team, the management of the Red team has decided to renew its trust in the 2007 World Champion, definitively putting aside the option linked to Valtteri Bottas of Williams starts.
Too many risks linked to this operation, especially on an economic level. The current Team Principal of the Red wants to concentrate all the team's attention on the 2016 car and precisely in this sense, the announcement of Raikkonen's renewal could arrive as early as during the Italian Grand Prix. Marchionne's goal is to achieve his third victory in the championship and a possible "case" linked to the Finn's stay in Maranello could undermine the certainties that are being created within the Emilian factory.
Renewal practically ready also for James Allison: despite the numerous news circulating in the last few days, Arrivabene is strongly focusing on the former Lotus technician and considers him a fundamental figure for the growth of the entire Scuderia, both on a technical and human level. The contract should be signed in the next few days, presumably immediately after the summer break, and the English engineer will be able to count on a small adjustment to his salary. After years of revolutions, power struggles and continuous role changes, Ferrari is finally building a solid base on which to aim for the future.
