AirAsia possible buyer of BMW Sauber?

The Malaysian low-cost airline, AirAsia, would be among the possible buyers of BMW Sauber. The Kuala Lumpur company would be interested in taking over the Hinwil team after the announcement of BMW's withdrawal at the end of the season.

AirAsia is already a sponsor of Williams with a contract that expires at the end of next year.

“Our interest in F1 is still with Williams,” said Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia. “We will continue to sponsor them.”
