Wolff: “Rosberg is not weak”
According to the Mercedes boss, the German still believes in overtaking Hamilton
Forty-eight points behind his teammate Hamilton now with his wings spread towards his third world title, the second in a row with the Mercedes, missing just five races to go Nico Rosberg he shows no signs of giving up and is unlikely to do so. The German boss stated it with conviction Toto wolff.
“As long as mathematics doesn't prove him wrong, he won't give up, it would be against his character – he confided to motorsport.com – I know that he is trying to stay calm so as not to create internal friction, an attitude that many could define as weak but which for me is not at all. Perhaps he is more cautious compared to last year, however I don't think he has ever spared himself in melee combat. I don't even think that Lewis has an edge in this respect."
And precisely in regards to the Englishman returning to success after the debacle in Singapore, the Austrian manager concluded: “In Suzuka he began to dominate again. He didn't have the car in his hands as it seemed from the outside, in any case he drove very well”.
