"After second place in Singapore, we want to go to Japan with the same momentum and get another good result. Fuji Speedway is not the best circuit for our car but the weather could play a key role this weekend. If it rains we will have a good chance of having a good race. This is the home track of our engine supplier, Toyota, and I can't wait to race in front of their fans."

“I'm really excited to race in my home grand prix and this will be the first time at Fuji. I've competed at this track in F3 and I can't wait to race an F1. I'm the only Japanese in the field and therefore I must admit that I will be a little more nervous for this race. The atmosphere will be great and I hope to bring home some points."
