Williams: A disappointing weekend in Germany

A 14th place at the finish line and a retirement were a disappointing result for Williams in the German Grand Prix on the Nurburgring circuit.

Pastor Maldonado – 14: It was a really tough race today. We were quite competitive in the second stint on a new set of Option tyres, but then when we went on prime tires for the final stint we lost a lot of time. Our pace wasn't good and we lost some positions.

Rubens Barrichello – retired: I was doing well after making a good start and was trying to implement our two-stop strategy, but then the team on the radio called me about an oil leak. I wanted to continue, but the team said there was no way to continue. It was slippery out there at the start, but the main problem was the low temperature of the asphalt which made it difficult to get the tires up to temperature.
