Williams: Sam Michael satisfied with the debut of the FW33 in Valencia

The Williams technical director judges the test session carried out in Valencia this week to be positive.

Sam Michael, Technical Director:
“Today's main objective was to get data on the KERS and for Pastor to familiarize himself with the FW33. He did a good job learning all the control systems. There is a lot for a pilot to think about in the cockpit now with the kers and rear wing. We made some changes to the set-up to continue learning the car and did some long runs for temperature checks. We did 100 laps without any problems, so I'm pretty happy. Overall it was a good shakedown test for us.”

Pastor Maldonado:
“I feel much more comfortable in the car with both the kers and the rear wing. I'm also working as best I can with the car development team and on both the long and short tracks. I feel more and more comfortable every time I get into the car.”

Day 3
Driver: Pastor Maldonado
Chassis / Engine: FW33-01 / CA320
Location: Circuito de la Comunidad Valenciana Ricardo Tormo. 4.005km
