Williams, Massa: “I would like to finish with a first place”

Free practice 1 and 2 in Abu Dhabi GP I didn't do very well for the Williams: 9th and 15th place for Massa and Bottas in free practice 1 and 10th and 7th in the second heat on Friday. The supremacy of Mercedes it is, once again, a fact. But also in this final appointment Red Bull, Ferrari and Force India they seem to be ahead.

Felipe Massa, at his last GP of his career, would like to finish in the best possible way: “It was my last Friday here: I would have liked to arrive in first position! This wasn't the case, so I would like it to happen on my last Saturday and especially on my last Sunday of the race! In free practice we worked to understand as much as possible about the tires and the car, particularly on long distances. It won't be an easy race, but I will definitely do everything I can for a good result here in Abu Dhabi for my final grand prix. I will try to enjoy the race as much as possible – but the best enjoyment will come from a good result, and that's what I'm hoping to achieve on Sunday."

Valtteri Bottas: “Like Friday, everything went well. In FP1 we were doing some pretty specific tests with the engine and aerodynamics so, seeing from the lap times, it's difficult to comment. But in FP2 I felt the car much better, it seems like we are where we have been in the last few races. Once again, we are fighting with Force India. But I know there are improvements that can be made on the car and much more on Saturday."

Rob smedley: “In general, we can be quite satisfied with the free practice. We have run a complex test program in FP1, predominantly for next year, and have achieved some really interesting results. In FP2 we were more focused on this weekend's Grand Prix: we tried two different car set-ups to understand which one to work on for Saturday."
