Williams has already exercised the option to renew Felipe Massa's contract for the 2016 Formula 1 season. This is what the Portuguese newspaper Diario Motorsport claims, which in 2013 was the first to reveal the news about the Brazilian's arrival at Grove after the goodbye to Ferrari.
Now, with Valtteri Bottas in negotiations with the Maranello team, it is understood that Massa is expected to remain at Williams.
“I like working here,” Massa said recently. “The team treated me with great respect, together we achieved excellent results. I didn't talk to anyone else. Why should we change anything?”.
“I think the pace we had at Silverstone shows that we know how to work, how to develop the car and that we are on the right path to continue improving in order to be stronger than Ferrari at every race. We are still fighting,” he added.
