Williams, Massa: “To win the world championship we should triple development”
Felipe hopes so, but knows that it will be difficult to counter Mercedes and Ferrari
With the World Cup coming to an end, most of the thoughts and declarations are already projected towards the year to come, with the "winter season" - that of projects, ambitions and proclamations - now upon us. These days it was the turn of Felipe Massa, who did not hesitate to mention the word "World Championship", while admitting that Williams would have to triple their efforts to catch up with Mercedes and Ferrari on the track. But hope, as we know, is the last to die.
“I think that if we want to compete for the world title with Mercedes we should triple our efforts in developing the next car. We are aware of how strong Mercedes is, but I hope that we can at least annoy the two strongest teams, Mercedes and Ferrari, through a great deal of work in the design phase."
This year Williams placed third in the championship again, but collected fewer podiums (four against seven) and fewer points than in 2014.
