Williams, Maldonado: “It's important to be in the top ten”
"We have a good car so we will try to get as many points as possible"
In qualifying for the US Grand Prix on the Austin circuit, Williams driver Pastor Maldonado achieved the tenth fastest time followed by his teammate Bruno Senna. Both drivers will aim for the points zone tomorrow.
Pastor Maldonado – Pos 10: The performances weren't there yesterday, so today went much better for us. Unfortunately in Q3 the grip wasn't there, so it was difficult to get the tires to work properly. It's important to be in the top ten for tomorrow though. We have a good car so we will try to get as many points as possible tomorrow, in what looks set to be a good race. All around the track there are Venezuelan flags and there is a lot of support here for me, it's so close to my home, so hopefully they will help give me an extra push tomorrow!
Bruno Senna – 11: Unfortunately I made a small mistake on my best lap in Q2, I went a bit wide at turn 19 and then having dirty tires cost me about half a second and a place in Q3 for sure. It's frustrating, but we are able to score good points from where we are. We have a good car and we saw that we are competitive in our race simulation, in yesterday's practice, so I'm looking forward to racing. It's a track we're all attacking on and it's important to keep pushing.
