Williams, Maldonado and Bottas disappointed
16th and 18th place for the two drivers in qualifying for the Malaysian GP
“We were unlucky with the weather in Q2 and with the rain we were forced to interrupt the lap. The car felt better on the track and we had the chance to fight and get into Q3."
Regret transpires from the words of Pastor Maldonado than in the qualifications of Malaysian GP we had to settle for 16th place.
“We still have some work to do to improve the car and close the gap, but we will work hard now to prepare for tomorrow's race”, says the Williams driver.
18th place, however, for his teammate Valtteri Bottas"What a disappointment not to get through to Q2 today, especially after seeing how the car had improved since last week. With the hard tires I felt the car well. We expected to hear more, however, from the medium compound, but this was not the case. We will try to do better tomorrow and gain position compared to the starting grid.", he concludes.
