Williams: Maldonado beats Barrichello in the first qualifying of the season

Rookie Williams driver Pastor Maldonado does better in the first qualifying of the season in Australia than his teammate and F1 veteran Rubens Barrichello.

Pastor Maldonado – Pos 15:
“During Q1 everything went well. On the first set of tires in Q2, I had two yellow flags, with the second set, I had to stop the lap. The session was exciting though! We need to improve a little, but overall the car is good and I feel optimistic. I'm looking forward to racing tomorrow and I really believe points are possible.”

Rubens Barrichello: – Pos 17:
“Today I was unlucky. I made a mistake, and I went wide. We have to wait and see what our pace will be, but we were faster than we thought. Another positive note, we saved our tires for tomorrow which could be important.”
